The third annual Generations of Women Luncheon was held at the Ritz Carlton in Phoenix on Friday May 7th. It is traditionally held the Friday before Mother`s day to honor mothers and celebrate May as Osteoporosis month.

 A speaker from three different generations presents life accomplishments. The speakers were: Former Secretary of Transportation, Mary Peters, Dr. Theresa Ramsey and ASU Basketball star Kayli Murphy. All three ladies told very interesting stories of their lives and careers and the audience enjoyed them. The state of awareness of osteoporosis in Arizona is growing and this event creates a new interest in bone health for our residents.

Milk was served in champagne flutes to the guests while they viewed the wonderful silent auction organized by Meredith Griffin. Each table setting had a milk carton flower pot take home gift presented by the students of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Elementary School. AZOC also had guitar players and a special photographer. For the first time three generations ATTENDED the luncheon from speaker Kayli Murphy`s family. A very special person to AZOC, Marty Shultz, was honored with a hiking stick for his continued support and interest in our mission. The emcees ,Nadia Goldstein and Nicole Hayworth, members of the AZOC business advisory Board, did a great job and will return to host the 2011 luncheon.

A good time was had by all and AZOC is preparing for another successful luncheon for next year. A very big thank you to all who supported The Third Annual Generations of Women Luncheon.
