The Arizona Osteoporosis Coalition is “TEAMING UP” with the Arizona State University Women’s Basketball team to provide an evening of fun, competition and osteoporosis awareness. Please join us, meet the ASU players, and support this worthy cause! A basketball hot shot competition featuring the ASU Women’s Basketball Team, will be held on Tuesday October 14th, 2008 from 6 – 9 pm at Wells Fargo Arena at ASU. The ASU Women Sun Devils have graciously invited all friends of AzOC to bring teams to compete against each other, and maybe even shoot against them! Click here to download a brochure of the event.

Teams of 4 may be composed of both male and female competitors.

• Due to NCAA rules, high school and junior college women are not eligible to participate
• Each contestant has 1 minute to shoot from the 5 designated "hot spots" on the floor to accumulate as many points as possible. Each spot has a separate point value.
• Two lay-up scores are allowed, but all other shots must be taken from the 5 "hot spots." 5 bonus points are awarded for attempting at least one shot from each spot.
• Each competitor's score is tallied and added to their overall team score.

Teams will advance to the Fitbones Finals, based on overall team score where they will play for trophies.

Teams of four from companies, neighborhoods, friends and co-workers will shoot basketball hoops for prizes and fun. Registration for each team is $200. Talk with your friends and company about sponsoring a team at the 2008 Hotshots event.
